BLANK BOX is a new store that's opened it's doors to the -more or less recent- need people from Bogotá have of supporting, not only local talent, but emerging designers in general. It is located in calle 14 no. 16 - 30 and it comes to shake things up a bit for the people of the neighborhood by bringing a fresh and stylish air to a previously pretty ordinary street.
That's why, we're are proud to anounce, that starting this week, we will become part of this new project intended to support us, new designers. Don't forget to drop by and say hi!
If there's something we love at TABIBTO is to celebrate beauty. And by that we don't mean ageless perfect people, though they are clearly part of it too. But beauty for us is not just perfection, but rather the opposite. For us it’s the imperfections brought on by nature, by fate, by living a fulfilling or very hard life. Imperfections from aging, from scars life leaves us and that we battle through. ‘Flawed’ people seem to show signs of life and thus become perfect in our eyes. They’re the ones that change the world around them even if just a little, with what they do.
That's what Beauty of the Week is all about, celebrating real beauty. Today, we celebrate the amazing Lynn Slater, the blogger from Accidental Icon (if you haven't checked out her blog, do it. Now. We mean it).
When we say we manufacture locally, we mean it. Take a peek of our Colombian craftsmen's talented hands at work while making The Big Bag.
I hate the word 'girl stuck in a guy’s body', I hate that terminology. I’m me.
I’m a person, and this is who I am. I’m not stuck in anybody’s body,
it’s just who I am as a human being. My brain is much more female than
it is male. It’s hard for people to understand that, but that’s who my soul is. +
Earcuffs are probably some of the greatest statement jewelry
you can wear, if you pick right. Here are five of our favorite pieces!

At TABIBITO we focus on textile and product design, great quality and working with locally sourced materials ('locally' meaning Colombian). We also strive to support the industry within, by manufacturing in our own country; our craftsmen are so talented! It may not be a 'dime-for-a-dozen' sort of option, but it most definitely is the most ethical considering how many families we get to help by providing them with work in the craft they so love.
We invite you to watch a short film on the manufacturing process of the small bag.
A bag can make or destroy your outfit, and The Small Bag can make even ripped jeans and a white T-shirt look stunning.
Designed with stylish, independent women in mind, this one is for those days where you don't need to carry much to look your best. Wether it's a special event or a saturday lunch with friends, this bag will make you stand our from the crowd.
It’s got leather, 24k gold plated hardware and smart barrier finish textiles. This textile, out of all the designs, is the only one with a soft, romantic vibe, inpired by the colonial architecture found in La Candelaria, Bogotá.
Misty Copeland loved dancing. She came from a humble origin in San Pedro and her family didn’t have much money, and she used to dance her way through troubles when she was younger. At 13 she discovered ballet at the Boys & Girls club in her hometown in California and after three months, was able to dance en pointe, which usually takes years.
"I never day dreamed about what I wanted to be when I grew up. But dancing gave me a connection to my personality that made me grow." (+)
